John had some work to do in Amsterdam. I loved it so much the first time that I just had to go back.
They now have a chip card for all public transport. I can keep it for life:)
We arrived on a Sunday morning and was able to spend the day in Amsterdam.
JL enjoying his Hot Chocolate
We love our Macaroons
Dutch love their clogs
Just something fun in the streets.
The sun came out and so did everyone else
The kids picked two harmonicas for their toys and literally played them throughout the city
They also got these Dutch made toys, however someone took them out of our bag at the airport while it was checked in:(
KEUKENHOF FLOWER PARK
For only two months out of the year in the Spring, The Netherlands has one of the largest flower parks open. Crowds flock there. Go early. It is about an hour trip to get there but definitely worth it. I am loving Tulips right now.
Who doesn't love cheese?!
They had a mini zoo
Always need to find a park
They had a selfie area, haha
Tulip fields
Fun moments to take pictures
Some ladies thought the kids were cute and wanted to take pictures with them. Ava would not do it, and I don't think JL was too happy.
FOOD
Such a great burger.
Traditional Dutch
Kids loving Lobster Bisque
They have good healthy options
Dutch Pancake for dinner
Magnum ice cream opened up a shop and you can choose dark, white or milk plus toppings. Then take a photo.
SELFIE STICK
We finally got one!
HARLEEM
I decided to take a day trip to Harleem. It is 20 minutes from Amsterdam. I loved seeing a different town. It is a lot smaller but it does not disappoint. I love it even more now because I read Corrie Ten Boom book, The Hiding Place, about her life as Christian woman who was part of the underground movement helping the Jews during WWII. Her book was full of emotion, history but her faith in Jesus was unbelievable.
Loved seeing more of The Netherlands!
