Work trip for John....Play for us!

We went to Montreux, Switzerland. One of the most beautiful places I have seen. I will always choose the ocean over lakes, but this place is breathtaking. It is an hour train ride north of Geneva.

Chateux de Chillon is a Castle in Montreux. Most hotels give you a transportation pass and this pass allowed for us to get half off admission.

Amazing freeway

Vineyards on the side of the hills. I was told all but 5% of Swiss wine is drank in Switzerland.

We decided to take a day trip through the mountains to a chocolate factory and Gruyere Cheese factory. The towns were beautiful.

Cailler Chocolate. they say it is the oldest chocolate in Switzerland. It is owned by Nestle now, but what isn't. We loved the tour. Very interactive.

To get to Geneva, we had a layover in Amsterdam. That meant our buggy got stuck on the plane after us, I was not happy. They were supposed to deliver it to us that night but they did not, thankfully our hotel had a spare. It saved the day.

I love sparkling apple juice. The kids love it too. It's everywhere!

Swiss food was really good. Switzerland isn't cheap but we found ways to make it easier. Our hotel told us about a restaurant and I googled it and found a coupon for half off! If you love fondue, you will love Switzerland.
